Default Help on my settings on my ps3 slim and yamaha v863receiver

I recently just got my ps3 slim and want to be able to play my blu ray movies listening in Dolby TrueHD or DTS HD. What are the settings I need to make on my ps3 in order to get them? It currently lights up the logo for Dolby True HD or DTS HD and then says the word Straight on my Yamaha RX-V863 Receiver. If anyone could help, that would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like it's set up ok to me, IIRC the lights for True HD/DTS HD/MA will only light up on the receiver when it is getting the appropriate signal & I guess the "Straight" light has something to do with your receiver saying it's not applying any additional processing to the sound.

If you want to double check look in the ps3 sound setup menu to make sure it's set to bitstream and/or when you're playing a movie press "select" (I think) on the pad to bring up the screen display with video/audio codec & bitrate.

You settings are correct if you are seeing the master and true logos.
Enjoy your HD sound. I have a yammy 1800 and I love it.
