Default PS3/music files

Can I burn all my songs from itunes, place them on a dvd r and then burn them on the PS3? or is there another way?

I dunno about iTunes stuff, but mp3s can just be streamed from Windows Media Player to the console.

As far as I know, PS3 will not convert Apple music codecs, nor will WMP. If you have MP3 originals, you can play that via almost any player, otherwise, you can't. The best you might be able to do is to install linux on the PS3, and use an iTunes linux install to play Apple specific music.

Alternately, you could burn the iTunes tracks to a CD, then rip them to mp3, but you'd likely lose quality in the process.

I would go the LInux route but im not that great with that stuff and may kill my system..lol

It's actually not that hard, though if you're going to do it, make sure you want to do it now, versus later. Doing it after you have a bunch of data on the system is just asking for trouble unless you back it up somehow.

depends what you mean. All the songs on my PS3 are from my iTunes. But if you mean songs your purchased, then no. But there are ways of cracking the DRAM off those iTunes songs that were downloaded
