Default Necessary Accessories for PS3

My birthday is coming up here in a few weeks and the wife is going to get me a PS3. I want to know what things I can expect to have to buy to work with my HD TV and sound system. The TV has 2 HDMI ports and my lame sound system has none and has only one dolby digital port that my 360 is using. Please help me out here so I don't get my new box home and and have to go back to the store to buy more stuff. Thanks.

If your receiver has only one optical input you can buy a splitter and a couple more cables for that, I had to do that with mine...set me back about $15 on ebay. Otherwise sounds like you just need an HDMI cable.

You would also want to pick up the PS3 Blu-ray remote. It makes watching a movie much easier than using the controller.

Definately, remote is worth the price. They should pony up and just include it with the system.

if you have a lot of PS1/PS2 saved games and you want to play those on the PS3, you'll need a memory card adapter.
