Default 'The Green Mile' - High-Def Digest Review

Drew has reviewed 'The Green Mile.' He likes this one even better than 'Shawshank!' This Blu-ray is a great upgrade from the DVD, with strong video, excellent audio, and plenty of extras. Highly recommended, bordering on must own.

Good review. I love this film. The PQ for me was excellent in that for the first time, I was able to see the true "green" in The Green Mile. The detail in the floor alone...

Thumbs up

Wow. One of the best reviews I've ever read on a single film. That cover art is wonderful with everyone in the backdrop. I might have to pick this one up ASAP. Great review and plenty of extras. Thumbs up to this one.

If Best Buy would get off their duffs on the points they haven't yet counted for me in their RZ (Reward Zone) program, I'd be spending most of those points buying this disc. Eventually it will be mine, though I really don't like the idea of spending nearly $30 (no matter how I arrive at that number, through coupons/certs/etc. or cash equiv) to buy a disc.

If it were priced at something in the $20 range, I'd already have it in hand though, no doubt.

3 1/2 stars for video quality, in a review that mentions almost no drawbacks to it at all? Absurd! I own this BD and it is clearly 4 1/2 star material. It's gorgeous!

filmmaker, i know of 2 other reviews on this bd, and neither are that high. that's too generous for this one. i gave it a 4/5, but i can see a 3.5. no matter what, it's one man's opinion.

I sure hope that later on this gets a good, publicized release. Having it stuck in the back of Best Buy warehouses, only available to those who ask for it seems degrading to a film like this.

Default Chech your facts a bit

'The Green Mile' is decidedly more old fashioned and somehow got lost in the shuffle, seen by a fraction of the 'Shawshank' diehards.

In the long run I might agree, but in 1999 The Green Mile made nearly $200 million domestically. Not too shabby considering the compitition that year.

Too much of a "God" element to be worthy of my praise. It's an alright film, but I feel Shawkshank is vastly superior.
