I love this movie to pieces and think it pisses over the more commonly appreciated BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA; can't wait to pick it up!

I liked this movie, always wanted to read the classic by M.S.

I had to watch this movie in repeated thirty minute chunks, and I never want to watch it again.

Too much melodrama thrown at you so fast for too long.

I'm going to regretfully have to pass on this one. I watched it on free HD On Demand from Comcast. Althoguh it looked great I found the movie too damn depressing to want to own but I still like it enough to watch. Also felt there was alot of footage excised from the film too.
Since Guillermo del Toro considers it one of his dream titles to take on maybe I'll hold off on it.

i think both this, and bram stoker's dracula, are flat out bad films....i think the frankenstein and bride of frankenstein are the great classics but this film, like one poster said, is so full of melodramatic garbage and unnecessary blood and gore that it drags the film wayyy down. not to mention the awful acting and directing by kenneth brannagh, who usually isnt half bad.

I'll wait until the full-frame only version comes out in a few years....
