great news!
on Ebert's "great movies" list.
I have been collecting all of these titles so I'll definitely pick this one up.

One of my top 10. Definitely day one purchase. I really hope Fox does this justice with a good transfer.

Now if only Pee Wee's Big Adventure would get a release date.

All I have to say is WTF?!?!?!?!?

I have nothing against this moving but for the life of me CANNOT understand how much it would benefit from an HD release or really sell except for a select few thounsand die hard fans. It has to make you wonder what these studio execs are thinking.
You have movies like the "Alien","Aliens" and of course "Star War movies" that would GREATLY benefit from an HD picture just sitting there waiting to be released yet you release stuff like this that we all know will eventually end up in the Wal-mart $10 BD dump bin (you'll be seeing one those sooner then later). Like I said I have nothing against the movie I only question the reasoning behind these catalog releases. Yeah stuff like this will really get people running to buy a BD player. (roll eyes)

Hmmm. I wonder why they would release this film this November on DVD (again) and on Blu-ray (for the first time).

I wonder is there a clue in the title of this thread? :-#

Yeah, I am curious too. Love this movie, but am hoping it is a good upgrade over the DVD (which is not exactly stellar).
