Default Buying new, buying used - which are you more of?

Im about 70/30 in buying used unless its a movie that I absolutely cant wait for and have to have it, the day it comes out.

Ive gotten some amazing deals waiting a few weeks and buying used. Ex - got the cell brand new for $12 yesterday and Defiance and Gran Torino today used for $15 each! Both were prestine condition too.

I always try to buy used unless it's a new movie I want day one or an import.

Same here. I will only buy new if it is $15 or less on catalog title.

Overall I've bought way, way more movies new than used. But I've been using Amazon's Marketplace more and more now. No more $27 for new releases when they will be half that in the used market within a few months.

i think that i buy about the same used and new but then again Newbury Comics is my place to find good priced used blu-rays so i try to find them there. Forget there new prices though for new movies i go to Target and occasionally best buy. If you have a newbuey comics in your area check them out you should find some good used blu-ray deals.

i find that most used prices in town are as much as amazon charges for a new disc

the only way to get a decent deal on a used disc is through ebay or something similar, and then it's hard to be sure that you won't get a scratched disc

It sure does. I've found some good deals here.

The only time I bought a used Blu-Ray was when I won the Dirty Harry boxed set on ebay for $40 something, which was supposed to be new, but wasn't. I didn't complain though because I got it for so cheap and it was mint and complete.
