Default 300: The Complete Experience

Is this going to have the same extras as the HD-DVD? I remember there were some exclusive HD-DVD extras that has prevented me from purchasing the current blu-ray.

This is the blu-ray book w/ digital copy

It has 2 more hours of special features, BD-Live and PIP more than the original version.

And an oddly plain cover...

I wonder if it will be the exact same transfer as the original blu release or will they try to smooth out some of the grain??

The grain is part of the visual style, so no.

It has the PiP that the HD-DVD had but the Blu-Ray couldn't do at the time.

I'll stick with the ahead of its time hd-dvd, unless there is added footage in this one, i.e. extended.

How about a Caligula brothel footage in place of the Xerxes freaks harem in the hunchback betrayal scene?

They don't need to smooth out the grain, they can remove it entirely as it's completely artificial and added in post production.

The blue screen version you can view on the HD DVD and on the upcoming blu-ray is grain free and makes for an unusual viewing experience.

Hell yes!! Come to think of it, I'd love to see a Caligula style movie done in the 300 style.
