I can't put into words how excited I am by this--I've been wondering a lot about this title recently and figured, since it isn't big blockbuster eye candy, that it might be a long time coming. So cool that it's not! If you've never seen the film and like your horror films to go for the gut, check it out--it is seriously FUCKED UP!

Not sure the picture quality would benefit greatly on Blu-ray, but still a must-have for me.

we have very little reason to be interested in them.

Default We get Henry but no Sophie?

I am one of the few people in my neighborhood who enjoyed watching this movie. The rest of my friends (all males, surprisingly) despise it intensely. I am happy that a small, lesser known movie like this will be released on Blu-Ray.

So why can't we get movies like Sophie's Choice on Blu-Ray? There was only one DVD edition released which does not feature an anamorphic picture. It looks so bad on my 1080p TV that I gave it away before I can watch the rest of the movie. There are other dramas that deserve a Blu-Ray release, but at the moment I can't think of them.

I've never seen it but you're making me want to. I'll pick it up. I can't get enough horror films in HD.

I've seen several other movies that were far more disturbing then this movie was, so while it's worth a watch, don't let expectations run too high for your first viewing. I also have serious doubts about the picture & audio quality on this Blu Ray as this film isn't what I'd expect to look all that great in HD.

With that said, I have to say that I'm pretty amazed that were getting this film now at this point in Blu Rays life span. I had always assumed IF we ever got this it would be well after Blu Ray was the mainstream format. I'm very happy to see it now though as any fan of horror should definitely see this one at least once.

Yeah, but those were snuff films, which you really shouldn't be watching. I know there are films that offer more wall-to-wall depravity but, come on, you gotta admit the videotape scene in HENRY is deeply twisted and repellant.

Name one, please. The only other movie that made me feel like this film does is Maniac, I feel like i need to take a shower after watching these, like my mind has been violated and left in the dirt to die slowly.

Honestly, I couldn't get through all of August Underground, because it was rather lame, looked like amatuer porn with fake blood instead of lube, The Texas Vibrator Massacre had more feeling and emotion.
