Default The Hannibal Lecter Anthology - September 15th

I know it was talked about in the Silence of the Lambs thread but I think it deserves its own thread. DVDEmpire is listing it and includes Manhunter, The Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal. I just want Hannibal out of that set since I already have The Silence of the Lambs.

If it's cheap enough, I may bite.

Manhunter instead of Red Dragon? Odd.

Glad I didn't get around to buying Silence of the Lambs yet.

I hope MGM releases the original (and correct) theatrical cut of Manhunter, not the crappy Director's Cut or the weird hybrid workprint that Anchor Bay released on DVD.

I haven't seen Hannibal since the theater. I didn't hate it as much as most people seem to, but I also don't have any real desire to ever watch it again. Once was enough for that one.

I already have the BD of Silence of the Lambs. I'd much rather wait for individual releases of Manhunter and eventually Red Dragon. I could go the rest of my life without seeing Hannibal ever again. It wasn't the worst movie of all time, but I also have no desire to spend my time watching it again.

Already got Red Dragon on blu and i might order Silence Of The Lambs later when i do my next online purchase. I didn't like Hannibal all that much, and i might wait a while before getting Manhunter.

MANHUNTER is just so much flotsam in this set. Already own SOTL so I guess I'll be (im)patiently waiting for HANNIBAL to go solo...

according to wiki the mgm 2007 release of the same name dvd boxset is the theatrical cut so I would say that bodes pretty well.

Is there an guide to the differences? I have the Anchor bay 2 disc ed but the quality of the longer cut was so poor I couldn't bear to watch it

Manhunter is terrific, far better than Hannibal or Red Dragon. Brian Cox is a great Dr 'Lecktor'.
