Default 'Spy Game' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter has reviewed 'Spy Game.' He says this is an enjoyable Hollywood action thriller. This Blu-ray sports good video and audio, but lame extras. A rental for those who haven't seen it, worth a purchase for fans.

It's movies like Spy Game that I can watch again and again. Not sure why that is.

I like this movie. I saw it in the theater and I own it on DVD. Probably only watched it once or so.

But, I do like this movie enough to eventually get the blu-ray if the price goes down.

I also never believed the love triangle aspect of the plot. Now, Catherine McCormack, as Elizabeth Hadley, is a fine actress, but as the woman who supposedly could come between Redford and Pitt, she just doesn't seem to generate the heat required to make the consequences believable. In order for me to believe that Muir and Bishop would both risk everything to be with her, I had to believe at least one of them would.
Ive watched this too many times to even count. What love triangle is Peter referring to? Muir wasnt willing to risk anything to be with her. He wanted Bishop to drop her like a hat. Now I do know in the deleted scenes it makes reference to some kind of former relationship between Muir and Hadley. But that was a deleted scene so its not considered part of the 'facts' of the movie. So what exactly is Peter meaning?

Or am I just missing something here?
