Default Essential Blu Titles?

I'm now purple, mainly for 2 reasons. First, I picked up that Nip/Tuck S4 set for less then $6 from pieceofmind, and secondly I won 6 new Blu titles from the Blu Ray Facebook contest as a 2nd place prize (Prince Caspian, Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Horton Hears a Who, Pineapple Express & Wall E). I'm in the process of finding a cheap blu player now (hopefully I'll get this one off of ebay), so I'm purple.

What are some "essential" blu ray titles? I have some of the essential HD DVD titles and am looking to get some on Blu. I'm still on the fence about doing the Red2Blu program, but I still might. Any titles that people recommend hands down? The HD DVDs I already own are on my dvdaf page on my sig, so you can draw basis from there on what I have (as well as my sd dvd collection that is not complete on dvdaf due to stuff not being in their database).

Like I said, I'm just curious about some of the "must own" titles.

BTW, currently I am going to be running whatever player I get on my 1080i Phillips crt hdtv, because I can't afford to get a new tv yet, so "if you dont' watch it in 1080p, then you can't appreciate things" isn't a factor.

I have to seriously quit asking questions on forums when I"m about to go to bed after working all night...

2001: A Space Odyssey and Baraka are pretty impressive, as is Sin City

Band of Brothers
Sunshine
Baraka
Any Pixar Film
Batman Begins/Dark Knight
Casino Royale/Quantum of Solace
2001
Firefly/Serenity(if you enjoy the series)
X-men Trilogy
No Country for Old Men
There Will Be Blood
Dexter S1 & 2
Weeds S1-4
Blade Runner

To be honest, in my opinion, there's really too many movies out there to have a small list of 'essential' titles. At this point there's enough movies out there to have many different interpretations of what titles are essential. But nevertheless, that's my list.
