Default 'Big' - High-Def Digest Review

Our review of 'Big' has been posted. This is a great film featuring a breakout performance by Tom Hanks. This Blu-ray is a bit of a letdown, with average video and audio, but a few good supplements. Worth a look.

Love this movie...used to be one of my favorites when I was younger.

Despite the apparent average video, I'll still eventually purchase this because I don't own the extended edition so I might as well get it on BD anyway.

Great move, too bad the transfer wasn't perfect.

Now we just need, Freaky Friday, 17 Again, 18 Again, Father Like Son, Dream A Little Dream, and Vice Versa.

I think I'm forgetting one BIG body switching movie. No we aleady have 13 Gong 30.

Love this movie so i'm disheartened by the "so so" reviews.

Despite the average PQ and AQ scores I would still get it as it's one of my all time fafvorites. But the EE is the icing on the cake because I never saw it. It's one of those movies I will watch from any point on tv anytime it comes on and (so far) it never gets old.

I like this movie but it always bugged me that Hanks seems to be playing a kid way way younger than the 13 year old Josh who makes the wish (do 13 year olds really make explosion noises when they play with toys??? I've never seen it -- that's something you'd associate with 7 or 8 year olds). However, if you can suspend your disbelief (or if you just assume that Josh is a little developmentally disabled), it's an enjoyable flick.

Well glad to hear there's apparently some grain and the EE hasn't been cranked up. If I recall, this wasn't exactly much to look at in the theater, so the transfer might be pretty faithful to the original print. That's all I'm really looking for in a BD release of an older film. One thing's for sure, its got to look better than Robocop

Buddy, not just at 13, but well into their 30s

Never had the DVD so I'm definitely getting this. I don't get the 2 1/2 stars for supplements though. I seems like it has a healthy amount.
