Did you like the first in the slightest?

I am curious because I actually did, guilty pleasure or not. So I am trying to gauge how bad this could be because a lot of critics didn't appear to like either of them.

Steve Martin is a great comedic actor but he's no Peter Sellers. These remakes should've never been at all.

The First movie wasn't anything special and this movie probably isn't but I will purchase this because it features one of the most beautiful woman in the world named Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. This will be her first movie in Blu-Ray.

Well, this will be a rental for me for sure, but I actaully really liked the first.

I don't know if was growing up in Canada or what, but I think I find bad French accents funnier than most.

I enjoyed both of the Steve Martin remakes. The trick is removing yourself from Seller's image. Seller's Clouseau was funny because he played it serious/straight, no matter what was happening in the scene. I knew Martin's take would be different. He's always been the "Wild and Crazy Guy" - a comedian who looking for his laughs. So, I went into the first one looking at it as a Steve Martin comedy, not a Sellers/ Edwards remake and I enjoyed it. Not a classic like the originals but entertaining. Bought the Blu Ray for the free ticket to part 2 and enjoyed it.

I had no intention of buying the 2nd one today - figured I would wait for a bargain bin offering. However, when I saw the Blu Ray at Target, I noticed it was a 3 disc set.

1st Disc - Movie with minimal extras
2nd Disc - Digital Copy
3rd Disc - 27 Classic Pink Panther Cartoons - advertised as "almost 3 hours of cartoons". *Update* DVD, not Blu Ray

25 dollars for a decent comedy and 3 hours of classic cartoons is worth the money for me. Figured I would let everyone know about the 3rd disc. They really haven't been advertising it.

Yes... I can say it. How about WORST FOCKING IDEA EVER? The originals were just fine. No need to reboot a 40 year old slapstick comedy franchise. I love Stebve Martin but he almost ruins his career with these abhorrent films. Maybe he needed a nice paycheck and took these one. No other explanation.

Peter Sellers = Inspector Clueseau. Steve Martin = NOT Inspector Clueseau.

Glad we got that straightened out.
