Default 'Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic' - High-Def Digest Review

E has reviewed 'Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic.' It sounds like this one is a winner. This Blu-ray features "superb" picture quality, strong audio, and some good exclusive features. Recommended.

My only dislike was the often-discussed lack of a female voice actor for the female characters. That aside, I loved it & thought it well worth the purchase.

A big pass on this one, I prefer to read the comic, this release makes no sense to me (unless you are REALLY lazy to read the comic).

However, I'm buying the Zach Snyder film on day one, Extended Cut FTW

well, I've read the novel countless times and still enjoyed this --- really got a kick out of the animation.

and I only want Snyder's version if its at least another hour longer. Because with a runtime of almost three hours, it really felt like so much was taken out.

Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash
we have very little reason to be interested in them.

So this is essentially Reading Rainbow? They should have gotten LeVar Burton to narrate.

I really liked this disc. Having never read the graphic novel, I went in with no expectations, and I was very pleasantly surprised.

In terms of the voice acting, I think the actor did a great job. I didn't mind the lack of a female voice. Sure, it kind of made the love scenes a bit...uncomfortable, but he did a great job of varying the inflection of his voice so that you always knew when a different character was speaking.

I like to read, but I also like to make use of my $10,000 home theater! I have no problems recommending people watch, or experience, this in movie form rather than graphic novel form.

The PQ and AQ are fantastic. I think I'd even give the AQ a 4.5 star rating.

Something that was missed in the review regards the digital-copy. It is NOT compatible with Mac OS; the copy will ONLY work with Windows.

Makes perfect sense. People buy books on tape. Why not a comic book on Blu Ray?o
