Well - a few months ago a more complete cut of the film was discovered in South America. Apparently Kino will be bringing a Blu Ray out at some point this year that will feature the extra material from that print.

Yes, I was rather excited to hear about his lost footage.

Now, if only they would release Die Nibelungen to ease the wait.

Any game that features paid loot boxes should be rated AO.

I believe that Die Nibelungen is undergoing an extensive restoration, based on a new print that was discovered. Eureka! was set to release it as part of their Masters of Cinema line in the UK (their classic Lang releases are superior in video quality to those of Kino; Kino performs a PAL to NTSC conversion that creates ghosting artifacts during scenes with motion), but has delayed it due to the superior source being available.

Maybe Criterion could do us a favor and add "M" to the Blu-ray slate? (or The Testament of Dr. Mabuse, for that matter)
