Default 'X-Men: The Last Stand (Special Edition)' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter has re-reviewed 'X-Men: The Last Stand (Special Edition).' He thinks this movie plays better on video than it did it theaters (Damn, gonna have to get the trilogy I guess!). This Blu-ray has five star video and audio and plenty of extras. Recommended.

Is this the same disk that will be in the X-Men Blu Ray box set?

So The Last stand is a slight upgrade on video with more extras and is worth getting in the box set?

I bet the 50 GB helps with the vidoe wehn that last Last Stand had only 25 GB.

Well I will get the box set next week.

The review says the movie was budgeted at nearly 150 million. I believe this movie's budget is closer to 210 million, making it one of the most expensive movies of all time

Since it's not a significant improvement why bump up the video quality from 4 stars to 5?

Hopefully the 1st two Blu-rays are top notch as well. I've never bought The Last Stand so I'm planning to pick up the 3-pack next week.

Well Fox rushed this movie more than any other X-Men movie and this was supposed to be the biggest one yet. Matthew Vaughn (Layer Cake) was first signed on to direct but dropped out and Brett Ratner was literally brought on when pre-production was wrapping up. Fox was stubborn and didn't wanna delay the movie a year they had to have it out for the summer. So Fox was putting as much money as they can to get it out that soon. So while this movie may be considered the weakest in the series and understandably so considering what was going on it paid off for Fox.
