Warner Bros launches Blu-Ray Rewards Program

Hi All,

This is for all you Blu rats out there. Warner Bros is following Sony in offering a rewards program. Starting today, they offer a Buy 5, get 1 free.

Terms can be found at their website warnerblu.com. Of course restrictions apply, but this is good news for those who already buy BD discs.

Enjoy!

The website for the deal has some release dates, including Watchmen! 7/28. it shows a picture of Black Freighter, but that's already out. So if this holds true, just under 4 months until Watchmen on Blu!

and just for registering, you get entered into a $5k drawing. not too shabby.

While the list is interesting, you should be more concerned about the titles you can get for free...

None of the stuff listed above is available for a freebie, they are the titles that have the certificate.

Elligible titles to redeem:
2001
Aviator, The
Bam Margera Presents: Where the #$&% is Santa
Batman: Gotham Knight
Blood Diamond
Bullitt
Clockwork Orange, A
Dark Knight, The
Dirty Harry
Eyes Wide Shut
Get Smart
Happy Feet
I Am Legend
Interview with the Vampire
LA Confidential
Ocean's Thirteen
Pale Rider
Pan's Labrynith
Perfect Storm
Rush Hour 3
Sex in the City
Superman Returns
Troy (Dir Cut)
Twister
We Are Marshall

Hi All,
I am the OP. Personally I wish they would just make it a Buy 5, Get 1, throughout the year. I am a hi-def collector and enthusiast, and buy way more discs than this. But in the least, it is encouraging to see another heavyweight launch a BD rewards structure program (and use the chance to promote upcoming releases, which is clearly one of the reasons they posted this list). FYE already has the theatrical versions of Lord of the Rings on pre-order, and per thedigitalbits.com they are definitely on the way. The limitation of requesting 1 BD per redemption period (1 year), is a little scarce, but at least they've launched a program such as Sony's and Disney's.
