Default 'Yes Man' - High-Def Digest Review

Drew has reviewed 'Yes Man.' He was pleasantly surprised by this sharp, warm comedy. This Blu-ray has excellent video and audio, along with some good supplements. Recommended.

This looks pretty good. Will have to give it a rent before buying though.

Am definitely interested in buying this now. Didn't see at the movies, but still might wait until I see a nice price.

it felt like it to me, a new twist on the familiar story, basically.

i have to say i found a few bits to laugh about, especially the Third Eye Blind bit. by far the funniest scene in the film.

I read the book to this years ago and I like it a lot (Just the same as with Wallace's, and his friend/part in crime Dave Gorman's, other books). So I was set to dislike this movie. The usual way these things go is there is some stupid "supernatural" spin on why he had to say yes to everything, like in Liar Liar. But I was presently surprised, there is no magical whammy in there, there's an explanation along the same lines as the one in the book. So I did enjoy it.

The only thing that annoyed me was the fact that Jim Carey was being all 'Jim Carey'. Any other half-way decent actor, who does the rounds in romantic comedies at the moment, could have done a much better job. The likes of Zooey Deschanel and Rhys Darby are the ones who make it very watch-able.

Of course it is. I mean...Jim Carrey has zero range or actual acting ability. So, they stuck him in a film where his "talents" can shine.

Another worthy blu-ray release in lieu of the other films just sitting in the vault.

zero acting ability??? go see man on the moon, and then once you're done with that see the very underrated the number 23.

I have to at least rent it since I hear they go to a Husker game. Not expecting much out of it though.
