Surprised it isn't getting a simultaneous dvd & blu ray release since it (& the sequel) were never properly released on dvd (only in full screen). You'd think they'd want to make as much money as possible since there are plenty of people who haven't converted to blu ray yet.

Awesome, I just watched the recently released Odd Couple Centennial Collection DVD and realized I never bothered to buy Grumpy Old Men (another Lemmon and Matthau classic), looks like I'll be picking it up in July.

I agree. I hope they release the sequel at some point too. I will be buying Grumpy Old Men though if I can get it $20 or below when it comes out. It's a great comedy.

Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau reunited. And one of Burgess Meredith's last great proformances.

Doesn't get much better than that.

What about extra features? I believe the DVD had some deleted scenes or something...

Fuck yeah! I love Grumpy Old Men. Bring on the sequel too! These are two of my favorite comedies. To my knowledge this was never released in widescreen on DVD so the BD release will be a huge upgrade. I just hope Warner does a good job with the PQ.

Digital copy? Seriously? Seems like an odd choice of film for that.
