sorry for the late reply but
Don't you need a Japanese credit card/address to by from amazon? I mean they go by Yen my Visa goes by USD not to mention I can't a lick of Japanese so any places like PLAY-ASIA.com? (hopefully cheaper though) i.e. English language sites that import Last edited by Thanatos; 06-07-2007 at 06:12 PM. |

If you have no existing account and you are proceeding to checkout with some items in your cart, you are prompted for your e-mail address and password (for existing account). That page has "Would you like to see this page in English ?" option, if you select that, the rest of the ordering and account creation is in English. 1) Select to view the page in English 2) Enter your e-mail address and select "I am a new customer." button. 3) Press the "Sign in using our secure server" button 4) Select the "International (outside of Japan)" link on the next page 5) Fill in your address data in English and select "Ship to this address" 6) Enter your credit card information on the next page 7) Enter your full name and password information on the same page I guess that's about it. Shouldn't have to use Japanese at all when creating the new account in the ordering process. However, title listings are not available in English so you need to be able to spot the items you want to buy first. If they have thumbnails it's usually not too difficult but some items don't have them in which case some Japanese skills would make it easier. Note that the international shipping from Amazon Japan is not very cheap, only express shipping available now internationally. |

Additional advice - if you are ordering stuff from Amazon Japan it's usually best to try to pre-order, because they typically offer 25 % discount for pre-orders and on the release date the discount typically disappears (for new orders). Later on the discounts are not available a lot of the time and even when they are, they are typically never as good as the pre-order discount.
