This is a day one purchase for me. Shame that they're left off the commentary that appeared on the UK DVD.

I find the HD DVD transfer is a little soft, so I hope the BR version is better. I prefer DTS HD MA to TrueHD, so maybe I'll stick with my HD DVD import.

YES!! Another one of my favourite WWII movies. Great performances around, and the duel scenes are excellent. "Let me show you where the major is...."

please be a new transfer PLEASE BE A NEW TRANSFER*

the HD DVD has too much EE and looks like it might have been sourced from a less than 1080p master here's a screenshot comparison i did



*and not a DNRed EEed or weirdly stretched transfer
