Awesome! I have the import on HD DVD, but it has forced subtitles, so I'm definately getting this.

I'm guessing from Paramount? Um, they couldn't throw us a different tidbit instead, like maybe Saving Private Ryan?

Geez, the rights to this movie must be dirt cheap - it was released on HD DVD in France, Germany, Holland & the U.K. I had it, didn't care for it - it comes across as really dated and dull in comparison to recent spy / espionage thrillers. TrueHD 5.1 ain't gonna do much for this one.

c'mon Cochise, any classic movie from an American studio must be applauded even if it isn't the absolute most classic title.
compared to 80% of stuff coming out this might as well be Citizen Kane imo.
I'll get this for sure.

The only problem I have with the movie is it's sometimes hilariously inappropriate soundtrack.

That's mostly what I meant by "dated" - that music was god awful.

maybe they should re-score it with an 80's Giorgio Moroder soundtrack. Common, part of the charm of watching a film from this period is the music.

This might be Redford's best movie without Paul Newman, or at least one of his best.

I thought he was strong in this movie as well. I will probably just rent this one. I am torn.
