Ok guys, I've never seen this movie and It's kinda hard to get a grasp on what this classic is really about and whether it's a drama or an epic or what. I'm really tempted to blind buy this but I'm worried it'll be another boring drama like The Duchess or Natural born killers.

I set this thread up so that people can describe what the movie is about (in as much detail as you like), why you like it and what type of movie you believe it is. (I'm on a fact and opinion hunt here)

Well, I'm going to assume you know this film is about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, one of the most renowned child prodigy classical composers ever.
If your film interests center around action, violence and sex - this may not be your cup of tea. But if you enjoy superb acting in a top comedy/drama and have any interest at all in classical music, this movie is one of the best. There is a reason it won 8 Oscars. I just picked it up at BestBuy for $14.99 (which is probably why you are asking about the film).
I'll add that if you have any urge to experiment with classical music, Mozart's compositions are a terrific place to start.

The film itself is great, I just picked it up at Best Buy myself. At $14.99 it's a steal!
