Terrific. I'm hoping Criterion releases the rest of Kurosawa's films on blu before the end of the year, I'm also hoping they do blu re-releases for the following films:

Brazil
The Naked Lunch
Rushmore
The Royal Tennenbaums

Good, maybe this will coerce them to put out some of his better movies. Sorry guys, I'm in the minority here, but RAN has bored me to tears every time I tried watching it.

I'm a much bigger fan of High and Low, Ikiru, Stray Dog, Rashomon, and Hidden Fortress.

Then again, my tastes in popular directors tends to run a bit off anyway. I'm probably one of the few people who likes Hitchcock more for Man Who Knew Too Much and Vertigo than Psycho and Rear Window.

RAN isn't my favorite either, but like you said, it's a sign his others might come out soon.
