Default Lemony Snitcket's a Series of Unfortunate Events - When?

Does anybody have any idea when they'll release this movie on Blu-Ray? I love this movie and I don't even have it on DVD.

I wouldn't count on it anytime soon. It was postponed in 2006, and there has never been a mention of it since. It didn't sell particularly well on DVD, though an HD master is ready to go.
I would say to look for it in 2010 or later.

I bought this for $5 on sd dvd and I put it in my Sammy 1200. I have to say, I thought the pq was great. One of the better upconverted dvds I have seen. You may want to get the dvd and see for yourself until a version is avaible.

One of the best looking SD DVDs I've seen. Wasn't there more books?

I've been waiting for this Blu for a while. I've only seen this movie once and it was on Christmas night back when it hit the theaters. Don't know why I haven't seen it since. I loved it.

Might just have to snatch up the DVD for cheap in the meantime.

They mashed up the first three books into the film. The Bad Beginning, Reptile Room, and The Wide Window. This was a great film to look at and the musical score was excellent, unfortunately they messed up the whole script. The end wedding was at the end of The Bad Beginning, the first book. The issue with the movie was the different directors they brought in. Daniel Handler(Lemony Snicket) had written 8 different drafts for the film. They changed the director on him once again, and was told he would have to rewrite the script for this new director. He said no and quit, so they brought in a group of writers to try and write the script, which they did badly if you've read the books.
There's 13 books but I would say only 7 of them are good, they get really monotonous.

I don't think they were doing it to be accurate to the books, I think they were doing it to tell a good story. I didn't here people complain that Sin City broke up That Yellow Bastard into two parts.

The movie was awful, and they tried cramming the first 3 books in less than two hours. I also think this is an Amblin production, so that's probably what the holdup is about.

IMO
