It was worded fine. Just try to ignore posts like that. Anyway, I'm cheating a little, as I have 2 of these on HD DVD, but they're on Blu-ray too.

1.Blade Runner
2.2001
3.Assault on Precinct 13

I'm just picking three favorites at random, as I'm the kind of person who'd give it a day and a half of serious thought if I really wanted to rank the absolute top three I've seen.

1. The Adventures of Robin Hood - the movie's fantastic, the transfer is great, and so are the features; there's even a thing on there where you can replicate a night at the movies in 1938, complete with shorts and a newsreel. (And there's much more than just that.)

2. Damages, the Complete First Season - It's no classic, but it's about the best-made trash I've seen in a while. Hours and hours of insidious scheming, shocking double-crosses, Glenn Close being ruthless, and...MURDER?!? No slouch on Blu-ray, either; the audio and video are terrific.

3. In My Father's Den - This is a movie made in New Zealand in 2004 which has not yet gotten a release in the U.S., and after seeing it I have no idea how that still hasn't happened. It's a fascinating drama with a sort of film noir-type mystery plot, in which a man goes to his childhood home for a funeral and finds that there are bad secrets from the past still waiting there (and that they may turn out to be fatal for at least one person in the present). It's amazingly good. It's also beautiful to look at with all of that New Zealand scenery, and is showcased very nicely on the BD. This is a German import with no region coding; I got mine from xploitedcinema.com, which is closing up shop soon but for now is still selling copies. (I didn't look very hard for a bargain, though, and you may be able to find it cheaper elsewhere.)

krylonman, the night at the movies is a practice that WB has done on a number of their classic DVD box sets, too. It is quite fun. (I could just do without Leonard Maltin's intros, though.)
