Default A Nightmare Before Christmas. SD vs Blu Ray

I accidentally ordered THe Nightmare Before Christmas on SD instead of Blu Ray at Deep Discount.

Before I go throught the hastle of shipping it back and getting the Blu version I just wanted to ask since its a cartoon will there be that much of a difference?

I have the Onkyo HD player and I'll bet the upconversion is pretty darn good.

Do I just keep it or send it back?

Very big difference. I have watched both and I would give

SD - 3/5
BD- 5/5

I would go through the hassle to get it on blu-ray. It looks really good and some of the special features are in High Def also.

x.

Blu-Ray blows the SD out of the water. Though I prefer the packaging on the SD version.

Thanks,

The packaging is pretty cool on the SD version, I guess what you are saying, not so good on the BR version.

They bothhave digital copy though correct?

thought they were the same packaging.. at least from what I've seen at Best Buy (both slipcovers, etc).

The transfer is easily one of the nicest transfers I've seen on a catalog in a long while. And as we all know... upconversion may be "good enough" for people who don't have the money to spend on blu-ray... but it is no match for even a competent BD transfer.

I would not ever consider the SD version again after seeing the Blu Ray.
