Default Firefly Blu-ray & PowerDVD 8 Ultra

Has anyone gotten this to work? I keep getting a message saying my player needs the firmware updated. To my knowledge, I have the latest version - 8.0.2217.50.

I have ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre, but that program won't even launch and no one seems to know why. There's forum posts over at ArcSoft and everything points to DEP, Firewalls, and Anti-Virus programs. I have disabled DEP and firewalls and have no AV program... So until someone figures that out, PowerDVD it is.

If you know of a later version, let me know!

Oh and AnyDVD HD does nothing for this disc.

Mediaplayer classic plays mine just fine. Didnt have a problem with anydvd either even though I have seen some posts that say there are issues with new BD+ protection.

New revision of BD+, players will need to be updated etc etc. Slysoft will update AnyDVD to remove the annoyance soon I am sure.

Something has to change with this whole new encryption key thing. I know and understand why they're doing it, but it doesn't make any sense to release a disc that nothing can play.

On one hand, software and player manufacturers need to be prepared to get to updating on release dates or before hand so that consumers can play on the day a disc is released.

Are studios getting these keys to manufacturers early?

I've tried Cyblerlink PowerDVD 8 Ultra, ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre, and WinDVD 9 Plus, and nothing works. This is ridiculous.

Angry Firefly Not Playing

I am having issues with Firefly not playig also... I recently purchased a tv that came with a blu-ray player. The first disc plays fine, took a while to get the second disc to play, but the third disc doesn't play at all. I haveupdated the firmware and even had amazon send me another copy - same thing. It's driving me crazy - went out and bought the DVD version just I can watch it - because I've never seen it but my boyfriend got me hooked. Anyone know if this issue will be fixed any time soon??
