Default Live and Let Die Issue

Ok, I have never seen Live and Let Die in any of it's incarnations so I don't know if this is inherent to the source. I have the other Bond movies that came out this morning as well and this issue is not in any of them that I can hear. what happens is that when the vocals go up in range or "volume", basically when anyone raises their voice the voices start to "scratch". I thought it was my center channel at first going but I checked the other movies only Live and Let Die has this issue. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue or I had a bad disc or whether that was just inherent to the way it was recorded.

Son a B1tch!! I changed my PS3 setting to Bitstream to the receiver so it would decode just the DTS track and Fine as can be!!! Yet when I switch it over to decode the DTS-HD MA track It sounds all scratchy and strained in the vocals.. Damn

i think it's your speakers dying because you're playing Live and Let Die, one of the great injustices in a great theme song being wasted on a terrible movie. you gave your speakers cancer!!!

seriously, though, i don't get to check my 3 bonds's until tonite. they best not have issues, me would = pissed off.

sounds like audio clipping, do you have any sort of dialogue enhancement mode on your amp? Are you running the latest firmware for the PS3? (2.50?)

Are you onc rack? Live and Let Die is the only truly good Roger Moore Bond movie. Anyway, please tell me you are joking, as this is the only one on BR I truly care about at the moment.

Yeah, I checked on my receiver, none whatsoever, I made sure I turned it off on the PS3 as well. Like N8 said I was thinking it was my center speaker but no other movie I have tried does that. Only that one disc and only when I have the PS3 Decode the DTS-HD MA, if I bitstream it, the disc works and sounds fine. Just the clipping when I have the PS3 decode. I'm wondering if it's just a defective disc and needs returning or whether or not this is a mastering issue

EDIT:, Yes I'm running 2.50 on my PS3.

Found the issue. My ps3 after updating to 2.50 firmware reset my "internal volume" control of my ps3 to +4. I changed it to normal and the clipping went away

Cool, glad it wasn't a huge deal, and thanks for posting what the problem was in case others run into it! (definitely something to remember to check tonight when I fire these up)
