Don't you just love reliable industry sources? Us too. Ours have just checked in with more new DVD and Blu-ray street dates, this time for a trio of MUCH anticipated Warner titles. Here's what to expect in November and December...

11/11 - Star Wars: Clone Wars
12/2 - Get Smart
12/9 - The Dark Knight

Word is, there will be FOUR different versions of The Dark Knight, including single-disc and 2-disc DVDs, a 3-disc Blu-ray and some kind of Blu-ray limited edition packaged with cool swag.

Also, retail sources are reporting to us today that 11/18 is the street date for Universal's Hellboy II on DVD and Blu.

I will be disappointed if Warner Bros. does not release a one disc version of TDK, because I doubt I will spring for a $30+ 3-disc version, sorry, the movie was not that good IMO. It's well worth $20-$25, however.

The only new date is Star Wars: Clone Wars, the other two have had those dates for at least a month now. Glad to see the dates are confirmed though.

The 3-disc version of TDK will probably not be expensive. The third disc may very well be just a digital copy. Remember, this is the same studio that released an expansive 5-disc Blade Runner set at a very affordable price. They are also releasing a 3-disc Speed Racer where one is a digital copy and one is a game. The gift set OTOH, could be pricey and I will pass on it just like I did with the Batman Begins LE.

I would buy the limited edition Blu Ray...for 100 dollars!

Clone Wars a 'much anticipated title'? Sure, Bill.

I'll buy Dark Knight regardless of the cost, and maybe give Clone Wars a rent.

The Clone Wars just came out in the theaters and it will get released on DVD before "The Dark Knight?" Only goes to prove what a complete bomb the Clone Wars is.

Serves Lucas right for dumbing down a great movie franchise just to sell merchandise to kiddies.

True, Lucas is running his creation ragged these days... and it doesn't have the stamina to keep up. Clone Wars bombed with critics and audiences (ie the box office) alike.
