Default Rambo Extended Cut For 2009

There's going to be another version of Rambo next year it seems
From Home Media magazine:
“[The director of Rambo] announced the week before it came out on DVD that there was going to be a new cut,” said producer Cliff Stephenson, who is working on a different version of the film for DVD, which is “a little bit rearranged” and “more emotional.”

From The Digital Bits:

From our panel at Comic-Con, DVD producer Cliff Stephenson told the audience that he'll be working on an extended cut of Sylvester Stallone's Rambo for DVD and Blu-ray release sometime in 2009.

Hopefully, this will fix the awkward "talking bits".

I love this film, but it needed some "fine tuning".

LOL, I assume that was sarcasm. That ending was some crazy stuff. Anyway, I heard the news about this one around the time the BD was released and the proceeds that go to charity for Burma. I'll definitely buy that copy.

To be fair, Stallone did say he was working on it before the release of the Rambo Blu-Ray/DVD, so there was fair warning. I skipped a purchase of the theatrical Rambo in anticipation of this release. And like what was already stated, all the proceeds go to charity for Burma, so this is a double-dip I'd be happy to pick up anyway had I bought the original release.
