Default Weinstien and BD?

Just wondering if this studio has announced any BD plans. I don't recall seeing any announcements and there are a few flicks I am eager to own in HD from them.

Mostly Grindhouse and The Mist are high on my list. I remember that thread but don't think I followed it to the end and I don't recall any formal announcement. I guess later this year will do fine for me.

Thanks for the info

Weinstein has had numerous financial issues over the past year or so. I suspect we will see them releasing on Blu-Ray once the format has a larger user base and they can make money on nearly every release. I just hope their quality improves vs what they were releasing on HD DVD.

Makes sense. What did they get out on HD DVD?

They released about 11 titles on HD DVD. School For Scoundrels, Feast, Harsh Times, Black Christmas, etc. From what I remember, none of the transfers were particularly good.

I have to disagree there I got 5 of their titles when they were out Feast, Black Christmas & Pulse which were blind buys, The Matador and the brilliant Clearks 2 all of which I remember having great transfers and having checked back the reviews here all of them got PQ 4 and AQ 3.5-4 so I would have any worries about them being transferred to Blu almost as they are.

Yeah Pulse was about average in my mind (3.5) PQ but they seem to play with grains alot so I dunno how good you can expect that one to be. Feast is on my list to grab if I can ever nab it cheap.

Completely have to disagree with you there, Clerks 2 is one of the best transfers I own on HDM.
