Default V For Vendetta Playback Issues?

Has anyone had problems with playing V FOR VENDETTA? With my SONY 300 it goes through the loading process and as the film begins it stops and shuts off my player. I took it back to the store I bought it, the salesperson has the same player and had the same problem. He opened another copy, tried it on the SONY 300 in the store and the same thing happened. I'm interested to see if it is a SONY issue or perhaps is happening with other players.

Hopefully no problems here. I picked it up yesterday, but have not opened it yet. I have the S300 too.

I spoke with Sony, the lastest Firmware they sent me a few months ago was 3.7; they are now up to 3.9.

They are sending me a 3.9 disc which should fix it.

I just updated mine last week, so hopefully I don't have any problems.

Popped mine in this morning, and am at the 30 minute mark with no problems whatsoever. I can't finish it since I have to head off to work.

Hopefully the firmaware update will take care of you.

Here is the link to download the firmware update yourself...

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu...=BDPS300&LOC=3

You will need an ISO Burner program. I use this one...

Angry Same V for Vendetta problem

I have a first-gen Sony BDP-S1. It hast he most current firmware, but I get the same problem. The disc loads, goes through the FBI warning, Warner Home Video open, MPA rating, and then starts to play the first 2 seconds of the movie before the player shuts off and the process starts all over again. I've let it recycle through this dozens of times, but nothing different. Luckily I had only rented this movie through Netflix. Extremely frustrating though. If anyone knows of a solution I'm all ears!
