Default Short Circuit, 1080i???

Hey
Was just at MovieStop last night and they had a copy of Short Circuit on BD behind the counter. When I looked at the back cover, I saw what I PRAY was a misprint. Under video it the listed the picture as 1080i. Let's hope its a misprint. I mean I know it's better picture than we had before, but when you put it with the DTS-HD MA. It just doesn't add up.

I think it is 1080i. What can you expect, though? It's really cheap and the only reason it's even out is to tie-in with Wall-E.

Heh, I don't have it on DVD, so I'll take it over 480p any day.

If your display device deinterlaces 1080i properly you will not be able to tell a difference between 1080i and 1080p.
But from your comment I guess your equipment won't deinterlace 1080i properly. I run everything through a VP50pro, which has no problems deinterlacing 1080i properly. 1080i properly deinterlaced to 1080P looks superb.

At the price of $12 or less in some cases, I think most of us can accept 1080i.

1080p would be better though.
