Default Has rising gas/food prices affected your blu buys??

Gas is getting higher by the day. Food prices are not much better. I have to say...this has affected how many movies I buy. I am at 1, if I am lucky 2, a month. I am being a bit more picky when I buy a movie now. Just wondering if anybody else is in the same situation as I am. Thanks for all responses.

Yes i rent a lot more but the studios are helping my case because they've hardly been releasing anything i want for the last couple months.

A little bit, yes. I still use Netflix, and I've been trying to stay true to the prudent path concerning new purchases.

Yeah it has led me to buy only 1 movie in the past 3 months. Now I'm sticking to rentals

yeah, i learned this month...I bought so far this month
National treasure
National Treasure 2
I robot
Independence day
Day After tomorrow
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

And I have John Rambo, Rambo II, and Rambo III on order from Amazon.

I realized after this month I have to cut it down to around 2 - 3 movies a month. Gas is hurting. I commute around 60 miles roundtrip plus another 12 roundtrip to the gym at night. 72 miles a day...on 18 mpg average...about $15 a day in gas. Starting to hurt....$450 a month...just for friggin gas. Can't do it anymore.

I have slowed down a bit. It helps that there is not much coming up that I want to buy.

Nope. I minimize my driving, have a fuel-efficient car, and don't have an expensive diet. It helps that I keep myself to a monthly budget that includes a certain amount for movie purchases.

Nope, just the lack of good movies.

It has led me to factor in the cost of the gas to get to a store when comparing it to Amazon's prices. Even when a store is running a sale, Amazon usually comes out cheaper due to gas.
