Thumbs down Digital Copies

What is your opinion on the Digital Copy? I find it to be more annoying than even the HD DVD combo discs.

Having two discs, but with one of them being entirely useless to me is extremely irritating. I'd be a lot more okay with it if the discs weren't labeled "disc 1" and "disc 2", so I could chuck it in the trash. It makes me miss combo discs.

It's a separate disc. Would it being a flipper really be better? That'd be a bit harder to ignore.

Please, no flipper's. LOL! I couldn't stand those with SD-DVD, and even worse with HD DVD.

I'd rather have nothing than HD DVD combo disks.

Why not have a website where you enter in a code (that comes on a little card inside the package) and gives you access to a download?

Because then the studios have to pay for large Servers to hold the movies and have them download at a decent time, a 49ish cent dvd is the cheapest easiest way to distribute digital copies

Plus studios know that atleast a few people have bought the DVD with the Digital Copy. A simple code would be posted on the web in a matter of minutes of someone opening their DVD up to get the code.

It's a separate disc that you don't ever need to touch if it's not important to you, so I don't see why that's such a bad thing. Take Juno, for instance -- I would take issue with the added cost for the SD with the digital copy, as opposed to the BD, where the digital copy is thrown in with no added cost. You just have to shell out the outrageous Fox prices for BDs.

If anything, I'd rather not have "Digital Copy" stuff splashed across the cover. It should be a sticker.

Digital Copy is going to be worthless to a large chunk of people until it supports all the major portable devices, and that includes Zune.

I got a question about the DC. Can you use it more than once? I have 2 different laptops and a desktop and was wondering it I could put it on each.
