Question Fox Digital Copy Question

Is this feature only for the iPod? I don't own any DC movies, so am curious. Does it work with Zune? Thx

The digital copy DVDs offered at Wal-mart say PC, iPod and PSP. I would bet they work on the Zune also.

If DC is only provided on a second DVD disc, which seems to be the case now, I bet they won't appear for rental in the major outlets.

Sony is preparing a method to include the DC on the Blu-ray disc, but that may be only for the PSP.

There should be a WMV version on the disc for use with a PC (and Zune).

Theres a wmv file for win media player but correct me if I am wrong zune uses its own software to manage the device. Not sure if zune can import protected video from media player.

That would kind of defeat the purpose, although I wouldn't put it past Microsoft, who invented WMA Pro yet doesn't actually support decoding it in any OS (including Vista Ultimate).

What's weird is that Microsoft's PlaysForSure content does not work on Microsoft's Zune. And too bad DC does not work with Zune. This is now another area, the industry needs to work together with a universal solution. Some discs for PSP, others for iPod, etc sounds confusing and can lead to a frustrating consumer experience.

Anyway I posted it on a Zune forum, and was told about a DRM stripping program so that I cna move content to my PSP and/or Zune. Thx

True, unfortunately they don't work on Zune. They are in a correct format (.mov), it's just the DRM that screws it. Works fine on my laptop though.
