They'll probably hold off on Transformers until Transformers 2 hits theaters (much like Warner did with the Blu release for Batman Begins).

I HATE THAT TACTIC!

i doubt it, i think that will be one of their first releases, and then issue a special super edition rerelease for transformers 2

Something tells me that Paramount is going to get back to Blu before year's end. Not so sure about Universal, since they are starting from scratch. Uni really needs an A+ title for BD rollout. If Spielberg approves JURASSIC PARK, JAWS, or E.T., they'll be in business on Blu-ray.

The most info we have is from Bill Hunt telling us his sources say announcements are coming soon (posted 5 days ago at digitalbits), who knows what soon will mean but to me it would be less than 2 weeks.

I would have thought Paramount would have wanted to release Transformers a week or two before Iron Man so they could advertise both maybe have an exclusive trailer for Iron Man and Indiana Jones, they could also have a trailer for Star Trek, and a teaser for Transformers 2. They could have done joint advertising with those movies.
