Default Why do they insist on releasing crappy movies on Blu-ray?

I'm continually underwhelmed by the release announcements...

It isn't no different than the "crappy movies" that get released on DVD

Why create a ridiculous thread and not even mention specific titles that you consider "crappy"?

Thumbs up on that. BD may have crappy releases, but by the same token it has some highly entertaining movies coming out, like V for Vendetta and Batman Begins.

Movies I've never seen are sparking my interest because of blu-ray releases like Gattaca and Bladerunner.

There are a lot of movies I don't like, but why not have them on blu-ray?

Hmm let's see...

Batman: The Movie
Jumper
Witless Protection
Meet The Spartans
The Bucket List
Anger Management
Untraceable
Semi-Pro

A quick glance at that list sure makes me happy that I invested all that money into a blu-ray player...

While there are some good movies coming out, they seem to be few and far between. The overwhelming majority of releases are sub-par at best.

I do agree The Batman Movie movie is pretty unnecessary.
Id even rather have all the Batman movie(even Batman and Robin) instead, which are coming later this year.

But in all honesty, I enjoyed Anger Management..
and im sure Bucket List has an acquired taste.

You wrong, everyone of them are neccersary. You know why? Cause each of them movies have fans. Some are few and far between but they all still have fans. So no matter what you think of them they have every right to be on Blu-Ray as 'Shawshank Redemption' (wich BTW is my favorite movie)

I'm much more interested in an answer to:

"Why do they insist on not releasing every single movie I'm personally interested in buying?"

exactly, if bd is to be the successor to dvd, then EVERYTHING, has to be released or it will stay a novelty format, and we dont want that now do we

and personally from that list i will probably be picking up at least half of them, just another reason to love movies, all the various opinions
