Default Disney's plans for 2008/2009

Quote:
Bill it at it once again, and he has posted some inside information regarding upcoming Disney Blu-ray titles over at The Digital Bits. In addition to the previously announced upcoming Blu-ray titles, including 'Gangs of New York' that was announced yesterday, Disney is planning to bring both 'Nixon: Election Year Edition' and 'Good Will Hunting' to Blu-ray later this year.

For 2009, the company is currently planning 'Kill Bill 1&2' and 'Finding Nemo' for Blu-ray release. 'Kill Bill' will likely not be presented as "The Whole Bloody Affair", a version of the film that director Quentin Tarantino has discussed on many occasions as the uninterrupted cut of 'Kill Bill'. That version of the film will most likely have to be released theatrically first, of which there are currently no plans to do so.

You will also notice that the once "Spring 2008" and "Fall 2008" title 'Finding Nemo' has been bumped to 2009. While this is thoroughly disappointing to most fans, Disney will be releasing another Pixar catalog title along with the Blu-ray release of 'WALL-E' this Fall, which is to be released theatrically June 27th.

All these titles should be considered rumors until official dates are released by the studio.

pretty lame news if you ask me.
Oh well. life goes on.

on the other hand regarding the Pixar film, it has to be either
"The Incredibles"
"A Bug's Life"
or
"Monsters, inc"

so that's good news for Fall.

Love Nixon (hate that lame tag line; why must studios insist on doing this?!) and love Good Will Hunting, so good news on both. The delay on Nemo is really sad.

I also want Armageddon, and all of Pixar's films. I got rid of my DVD version of Armageddon when I found out it wasn't anamorphic. I've seen it only once since, on Starz HD. It would look amazing on Blu-ray.

The delay for Finding Nemo is disappointing for sure, but Disney has always done right quality-wise with their releases. Once released, this should be as stunning as, if not more so than, Cars.

That sucks about Finding Nemo, but since they're coming out with another catalog Pixar title, its all good. Definitely not going to be Toy Story, I'm guessing that'll be reserved for '10. I'll get whatever it is, along with Wall-e.
