Ok so I liked the theatrical release....however I think the Directors Cut is amazing!...It is a masterpiece ...finally a movie about religion/history through unbiased eyes...very nice!....The PQ was amazing!..aswell surprising because of the Mpeg 2 codec... anyways what did anyone else think?

There are alot of movies out like that, it's just finding them. Aeon Flux is that good PQ and SQ wise. So was Casino Royale and Transporter. Just gotta read the reviews first to make sure you don't get any duds like Stargate, etc.

I also it again last night. Its indeed a major improvement over the theatrical release. For a 3 hour movie, it holds my attention throughout ...thats saying a lot. The siege of Jerusalem was spectacular and quite possibly the best siege scene in the history of cinema. Kingdom of Heaven Director's Cut is in my Top 10 favorite movies of all time now.

I totally agree with you on that one...it was just amazing...the boy taking power thing was awesome...and I don't understand why they cut it out at the theaters!?!

i honestly thought that this movie sucked. i bought it cuz i heard it had great PQ and it looked like a movie that i would like. but i thought that it was wayyyy too long for the kind of movie that it is and the battle scenes were repetitive. the ending was ood and i liekd orlando blooms character, and i liked the fight scene early on where ends up killing liam nielson or w/e, but thats about it.

Hmmmm. I was wondering wither it's worth the 40$ Canadian price . Is the DC version much longer?

Love it. Didn't care too much for the theatrical release though. This was the first BD I bought. See, mpeg 2 can look really good

The directors cut is nearly an hour longer than the theatrical release. It adds a whole lot more to the characters....connecting them in ways that were not shown in the original version and even adding a character that was cut out completely.
