if a studio is stupid enough to be releasing Gigi on anything but toilet paper, then they shouldn't even be in the business of making blurays. seriously wtf are they wasting their time for.

So a movie that cleaned house at the 1959 Academy Awards deserves to be released on Charmin Ultra? Classic movies are not huge sellers but I think many of them will be needed to push the format.

Gigi is not the same film as the Bennifer bomb Gigli.

If they do justice to Black Narcisuss it should look fantastic.

Hey, it's not a rumor as it's confirmed by Warner earlier this year and has already been discussed here: http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh...ase_Plans/1443

I guess you don't know much about movies. As said earlier in this topic, this film won 9 Academy Awards.

lol! ahhh cut dude some slack.
I'm sure he was thinking of "Gigli."
a totally reasonable mistake.
I feel confident he has never heard of the best picture winner.
btw: he's certainly right about Gigli.
Also: yeah I had forgotten that 2 of these have long been on HDD's TBA list.
but it's nice to be reassured that they are coming. HD media can use all the old classics it can get imo.

I'm hoping that someday most of the movies on the AFI Top 100 are available on Blu-ray.
