Default Netflix and blu-ray question...

is netflix any better with the availability? I was a member and i had all long waits, or movies shipped from washington or NY (i'm in CA) so had to wait 3-4 days for movies. There were times where i literally didnt have movies for a week because of long waits or long shipping times. I want to re-join, but was curious how everyones experience has been since they announced they would carry more blu-ray's

It is getting slightly better, but not much for me. I did noticed two movies that I had on the list which were long wait, but recently changed to available really quickly, and when I received both movies, they appeared to be brand new since the sleeve had no creases whatsoever.

I live in CA and I received them the next day after they were shipped so the hub must be within CA.

I'm seriously considering joining Netflix because there's a lot of movies on that I've never seen but don't want to blind buy. I wanna try and expand my collection outside the "action" and "fantasy" genres. I wanna check out some good dramas and other stuff.

I have noticed in the last 2-3 weeks that more titles are showing available instead of almost all of them showing long to very long wait... Still not where they should be, but yes they are improving...

New titles will still be difficult to get unless you time your returns so that it arrives on Monday or Tuesday. Even then, you can miss out and see the dreaded very long wait. But if you are looking for some older releases, you should be able to get them relatively quickly.

I have the same experience also. I still have Very Long Wait for Planet Earth though.

I live in phoenix and get the same thing. When I mail movies back, it obviously hits some center in phoenix because they almost immediately notify me that they've received my movies. Then the next day they tell me which movies im getting next, and i usually get them the following day.

All in all, its about 3-4 days MAX - 2 days for shipping in and out, and 1 day for processing
