he posted his top 10 in the accompanying thread for the No Country for Old Men review. Several people asked...

His favorite was There Will Be Blood, if I remember correctly. I believe Assassination of Jesse James made the cut too.

3. No Country for Old Men
4. The Assassination of Jesse James
5. Ratatouille
6. The Bourne Ultimatum
7. Sunshine
8. Zodiac
9. The Darjeeling Limited
10. 3:10 to Yuma

I'm usually not a fan of the Western genre, but this year had four Westerns bust onto my top 10. As for 'Gone Baby Gone,' it would probably sit somewhere around number 11 or 12 on my list. Anyway, that's where my head's currently at!"

Of note, he also mentioned that it was a "tentative" list for him. His top five and my top five are the same. Those are five excellent movies in my opinion, and would be a good place for you to start. Depending on your tastes in movies, that is. Although, I have 'Lars and The Real Girl' and 'Eastern Promises' in my top ten, as opposed to 'The Bourne Ultimatum' and 'Sunshine'.
