Default Kubrick advise

Hey, In England tomorrow the Kubrick set is released on blu ray separately, i haven't got the money to get them all just 2 tomorrow and i will get the rest as time goes on. My question is which 2 do i get first, i should say i am a big Kubrick fan and intend to get them all so i would like answers from a technical standpoint and extras view etc rather than basing it on which is your favourite of the films.
Also the DVD set has the life in pictures documentary, does this come in Blu ray and if so is it a separate disc entirely? or a disc 2 to one of the films.
Thanks alot

Technically the two best kubrick disc out are 2001 and The Shining. As far as the movies go I like Clockwork Orange and The Shining the best. The problem is that they are all great movies, so you just have to pick what your in the mood for. I also like Full Metal Jacket a lot and havent got around to watching 2001 yet.

I will second 2001 and The Shining. Then Clockwork Orange when you get some poundage.

I have them all except Full Metal Jacket and, yes, 2001 and Shining should be your first two choices. Clockwork Orange is good, but Eyes Wide Shut is the weakest PQ. I agree with whomever reviewed it by saying one might as well just pick up the standard DVD.

Thats just how the movie was filmed. It will never look really good. People can't seem to accept that.

I have read about "Clockwork." and feel that this is probably about the best it will look, so don't let that keep you from purchasing it.

If you have a good set up then I would say that either 2001 or the Shining would be perfect because of the way they are filmed. Massive detail and colors.
