Default Wizard of Oz/GwtW/Woodstock/North by Northwest in '09

From today's post by Bill Hunt over at The Digital Bits:
Quote:
Finally, [Warner] studio reps revealed that 4 major catalog titles (The Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind, Woodstock and North by Northwest) are all soon going on moratorium. The good news is, each will reappear in 2009 in day-and-date DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases, complete with stunning new high-definition restorations to celebrate their own individual anniversaries.

I bought the set as well. The features and history of this classic interests me. Very curious to see how WoOZ looks in its high def debut.

Can't wait for North by Northwest! I'm glad they're taking the time to give them a good restoration before adding them to Blu. Hopefully they upgrade the audio too.

What a smart move on my part getting a Blu-ray machine (patting himself on the back several times).

It was on either TNT-HD or TBS-HD last year, and it looked gorgeous. I recorded it, even though I knew there would be commercials.

Never got it to work right with "Dark Side of the Moon", tho...

I got lazy and bought the bootleg Dark Side of the Rainbow DVD. I always started the CD on the wrong roar.

Woodstock - I can't wait to see/hear that in HD. Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner will probably kill me.
