Default Blu-Ray Region Coding Does Not Appear To Be On Presently

Hi there, Newly registered so first post.

I'll be getting into Blu-Ray when I hopefully get my PS3 on Euro Launch day.

However, I am aware that Blu-Ray Films do have region coding (Games don't)but would like to know if anyone can confirm whether the region coding has been switched on at present.

I'm reluctant to spend 24 ($48) for The Departed when I can get it for 17 ($34) imported.

All comments appreciated.

UPDATE 23/03/07

JUST PURCHASED MY EURO PS3

HAD PICKED UP SAW 2 BLU-RAY REGION A PRETTY CHEAP JUST TO TRY.

FILM PLAYS FINE ON MY PS3 SO HAVE ORDERED THE DEPARTED, HAPPY FEET AND ROCKY BALBOA.
