Default If I'm not mistaken...

On blu-ray I believe that it's available at up to 1.7 Mbit/s. It is also not mandatory.

Its not DD+ on Warner titles...... or any others for that matter.

Blu-ray can do full spec DD (640 kbit/s maximum)

HD DVD on the other hand needs DD+ to do 640 kbit/s. Dolby Digital on HD maxes out @ 448 kbit/s

I don't think any studio has used DD+ on a release (1.7 Mbit/s or otherwise)

Also, on a side note, DD+ on HD DVD was available up to 3.0 Mbit/s (although, I don't think any studio put a title out w/ the full 3.0 Mbit/s).

There were lots of 1.5 Mbit/s HD DVDs though, a clear upgrade from 640 kbit/s DD.

I assume that the reason we don't see Dolby Digital Plus on BD is because it isn't mandatory and therefore (presumably) can't be decoded by many players. And, of course, because BD has the space for Lossless (PCM or otherwise) audio in most cases.
