Default Anyone have this issue with Blade Runner?

Well i just got around to opening mine from Amazon and I am going to have to send it back. I do have the correct 5th disc but all of the blu-ray discs (1,3, and 5) have this weird unfinished rough edging to them. Basically if I put my finger on the outside edge of each disc and move it along the disc, it is rough. It feels like maybe it wasn't pressed good during production. They all make a noticeable humming/buzzing sound in my PS3 that I can hear even 10 feet back. It is very distracting even with the volume turned up. I made sure and tested other movies I have and I can hear noise when the disc is loading up (the normal noise you hear as the disc is loading) but it is completely silent when the movie is playing. You can hear this noise throughout the movie when watching Blade Runner. I guess these rough marks are causing this noise. I hate shipping stuff back but I will have to this week.

Sounds like they may be unbalanced. Ive had a few DVDs like that. Keeps me worrying the drive will wear out from the extra stress on the motor.

I purchase it tonight and about to watch it. I did notice a few disks were out of case when I open it.

I did not like the fact that all of disk were not Blu-ray.

That is what I was thinking. I have a warranty on the PS3 but it was definitely bothering me how loud the humming was when the movie was playing.

I have the same thing, all my disks are rough, and three of them where out of the holder
They weren't scratched, I also notice this with some DVD's, but I have never had problems with them, and my Blad Runner runs fine in my PS3. So idk.

Isn't this pretty normal at the beginning? All new discs (HD-DVDs,Blu-Rays,DVDs and CDs) of mine had this rough feeling at the very beginning.

I just finish watching the Final Cut version on my XBR2 - very awesome looking.

Love the look of cool sci-fi on 1080p - Highly recommend it on Blu-ray.

Which is exactly why I want to swap it out. It's pretty obvious they have had some major issues with the Blade Runner release and it seems some discs had a bad pressing.

I still need to check if my disc 5 is the work print. I think I'll do that today before it's too late to send out for a replacement.
